The volcanic activity of Mount Merapi is on Alert Level 2.  Almost everyday there will be glowing rock falls from the growing lava dome. This is the right time to enjoy this very rare moment.

The photo spot is outside the forbidden areas. Tripod and tele lenses will be useful, I suggest 85mm above. I will bring sleeping bags and cooking stuffs so we can have a lot of hot coffee and tea during the whole night observation.
